Idemitsu Australia signs joint agreement to deliver vanadium flow batteries
Idemitsu Australia, Sumitomo Electric Industries and Vecco Group have signed an agreement to develop an end-to-end vanadium flow battery supply chain.
Each company provides a unique aspect of the supply chain and with 40+ years of operational experience Idemitsu’s focus will be battery supply to customers, project management and development of battery projects. Idemitsu Australia’s CEO Steve Kovac said “Idemitsu Australia continues to strategically invest in renewable and clean energy projects. We believe that our participation in the complete vanadium flow battery manufacturing supply chain will create opportunities for Australia and serves the growing global demand for renewable energy storage.”
