IAR is vigourously committed to the sustainability of the environment. IAR is proactive in reducing the impacts of current and future operations and is conscious of minimising the IAR footprint on the enviroment. The environmental regulations establish the minimum compliance and requirements for mine rehabilitation to which IAR strives to exceed these standards.
Rehabilitation is an ongoing commitment and process commencing when the mine's production begins and continues long after the mine ceases operations. IAR's successful rehabilitation programs have focused on seedlings propagated by local nurseries and the seeds are harvested from local trees.
