Open cut mining from multiple seams is performed by a combination of a face shovel, hydraulic excavators and front end loaders working with a fleet of trucks.

ROM coal is washed on site and product coal is hauled by highway trucks to the Ravensworth Coal Terminal. It is then transported by rail to Newcastle.

In 2009 1.23 million tonnes of ROM coal was produced.
