In October 2008, Boggabri Coal successfully resnagged a section of the Namoi River. This project provides shelter and food for many native aquatic animals and provides protection for aquatic vegetation.
Projects like this are important as they provide natural biofilters and protects aquatic environments from excessive sedimentation, polluted surface runoff and erosion once established.
